Nicki Minaj did not block Birdman from getting into her pre-Grammy party Saturday night (Feb. 8).

TMZ has learned from a source close to The Pinkprint rapper that it was all just bad timing. The Cash Money CEO and his crew showed up to Nicki's pre-Grammy party at 1OAK in West Hollywood late Saturday night. They were turned away by security, because the group showed up 15 minutes before last call, which was at 2 a.m. This seemed like a viable reason to assume Nicki just wasn't letting Baby in. After all, it's Baby, so what does it matter that he came at 1:45 a.m.

Well, a source in Nicki Minaj's camp has told TMZ that Birdman not getting in was nothing personal. Apparently, Nicki wasn't even at the club by the time Baby and his crew got there. They were only denied because Baby's posse wanted to order bottle service, and that wasn't happening at 1:45am.

Nicki Minaj and labelmate Drake are trying to stay neutral during the Lil Wayne and Cash Money beef. The Young Money CEO is currently suing Cash Money Records for withholding the release of Tha Carter V and money he was supposed to receive before and after the album dropped. Weezy has stated that he plans to take Nicki Minaj and Drake with him if he's able to break free of his Cash Money contract. Both rappers are signed to Birdman's label, which makes things more complicated legally. In the meantime, Nicki and Drizzy are just hoping the whole thing is worked out.

Mannie Fresh shed some light on the situation between Lil Wayne and Birdman, saying Weezy has just outgrown Cash Money. According to Fresh, Wayne feels like he's being held back creatively, and wants to work with artists outside of YMCMB. Lil Wayne's case against Cash Money is still ongoing, but Weezy said he would stay with the label if they pay him. We'll have to wait and see what happens. In the meantime, The Free Weezy Album should hold us down.
