It looks like Drake may be dropping a mixtape this year. According to P. Reign, an affiliate of Drizzy's imprint OVO Sound, the rumors of a new mixtape hitting the streets could be true.

"I know Drake's dropping a mixtape that I've already heard a lot of and it's crazy," said the Canadian rapper in a recent interview with Karen Civil while discussing why he thinks 2015 will be a big year for hip-hop. "I think it's some of the best I've heard from him in my life and I already know off Drake's mixtape the world is going to shake."

Rumors began when on NBA TV’s Fan Night back last November, the Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan told Chris Webber and the crew that the Nothing Was The Same MC said he was going to give DeRozan his mixtape, which is slated to drop in January. Drake is the team’s global ambassador. With January almost done, it's doubtful that a new mixtape will happen. However, he could release the tape Beyonce-style like he did for his previous loose records  “How Bout Now,” Heat Of The Moment,” and “6 God” on the same day last fall. Views from the 6his next studio album—has no release date. But a project has to be dropping soon since Drake is headlining two huge festivals, Coachella and Governors Ball, this year.

If both Views from the 6 and this rumored mixtape come out, hip-hop fans will be listening to Drizzy a lot this year. XXL has reached out to Drake's reps for comment.
