For the first time in quite a while, Chris Brown is the victim in a criminal investigation. According to a report from TMZ, Brown's jail ID was stolen and a man tried to sell it online for $10,000. During Brown's legal troubles in 2014, the singer was jailed for leaving rehab in April and spent a day in San Bernardino (CA) County Jail before traveling across the country for one of his many hearings on assault charges. Following his release from the jail, Brown's ID was left with the prison staff, which is standard procedure.

Earlier this week, Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, found out that the jail ID was up for sale online and immediately went to the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department, according to TMZ. After an investigation by the Sheriff's Department launched an investigation and seized the ID from a man who claimed he got it from a friend of a friend. The police are now trying to determine how the ID got out of custody and whether a crime has been committed.

On the music front, Breezy has a collab album with Tyga dropping in Feb. and, following a shooting at one of his performances, will no longer be performing in "hood clubs."
