Update (Sept. 3, 2014): CeeLo took to Twitter to offer an apology of sorts for his tweets, calling them "idiotic, untrue and not what I believe." The tweet comes after his TV show, The Good Life, was cancelled by TBS yesterday, though the network claimed the show's cancellation was due to poor ratings.

Original Story: Just days after pleading no contest to a drug charge in a case where Cee-Lo was accused of slipping ecstasy into a woman's drink during a 2012 dinner, the Goodie Mob MC took to Twitter to offer some unsavory takes on what constitutes as rape. Green was not filed on a charge of rape of an intoxicated person due to insufficient evidence, but still responded to users on Twitter about the case and argued that if a person is passed out or unconscious, a rape did not occur.

Obviously, that is an insane thing to say publicly. Green, likely at the urging of his lawyer or PR staff, later went back to Twitter and offered an apology, saying:

"Let me 1st praise god for exoneration fairness & freedom! Secondly I sincerely apologize for my comments being taken so far out of context. I only intended on a healthy exchange to help heal those who love me from the pain I had already caused from this. Please forgive me as it was your support that got me thru this to begin with. I’d never condone the harm of any women. Thank you."

Oddly, the Tweets were later deleted without explanation.
