Former XXL Freshman, Angel Haze,  is switching her style up. Or, in actuality, she's returning back home to her roots. While attending the VMA's Red Carpet, Angel was able to talk to MTV News about her new EP, which will feature Haim, but also, a lot of more singing from the rapper.

“It features me singing a lot more which is crazy,” she told MTV News regarding her new EP “I’m actually naturally a singer, which is insane, I just learned to rap [a few years] ago, so it’s just going home basically.”

She then touched on her collaboration with Haim.

“I’m the fourth Haim sister, they’ll all tell you,” she said. “They’re my best friends, they’re just great songwriters and great girls to be around in general. We live in the same place so it’s easy to congregate when we’re not on tour.”

Despite the sales of her debut project, Dirty Gold, the 23-year old rapper hasn't let the numbers stymie her work ethic. She performed at Glastonbury this summer. In addition, she was nominated for "Best Video With A Social Message" for her song "Battle Cry." No date has been officially announced for her new EP.
