Angel Haze has been named as a global ambassador for a new charity that focuses on the protection of children. Started by Leigh Blake, who's also a co-founder of Red Hot Organization, Arms Around the Child's mission is protecting children who are orphaned or in need of care in India and Africa. Haze joins producer and DJ, Mark Ronson as a global ambassador for the organization.

“We believe Angel and Arms Around the Child will do amazing work together helping children.” says Arms Around the Child founder Leigh Blake “Angel is a great ambassador to have on board, not just because of her own childhood experiences which drive her passion, but because of her incredible musical talent and style which we know can reach a very wide audience.”

Haze seems to be excited by the idea of being a part of the organization.

“As a once underprivileged child, I feel it’s important to provide children of similar destructive, limited, or abusive backgrounds not just the freedom to choose where they want to go and who they want to be, but the resources as well," Haze explained via a statement. "At the end of every day, I'd like to think I will have done all that I could to make someone else's journey a bit more comforting. I like to think that everyone can help in some way, and for me, it's an absolute joy and honor to be involved in a practice so exemplary.”

At this year's Glastonbury Festival, Angel Haze revealed that her upcoming album will focus on singing.

“Singing is my first love. I started as a singer and was a really, really bad rapper,” says the US star. “I wanted to get better and in the midst of me getting better I got signed. I got caught in it a little bit. I love it. I love music period so I’m just trying to make what’s inside of me.”
