The investigation into the shooting after ScHoolboy Q's show in Colorado Thursday night is picking up steam, though authorities still have not made any arrests. Initial reports indicated that three men in an SUV were shot in the parking lot after Q's performance—which also included Nas and Flying Lotus on the bill—at Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside of Denver, and news came later that Q was also in the car that was targeted in the shooting. Today, the Associated Press is reporting that the shooting was likely directed at the LA rapper.

"This is not just a coincidence. We think there is probably more to it than that," a spokeswoman for Jefferson County's Sheriff's Department said. "It does seem to be more targeted than random."

Five people, including Q, were in the car at the time of the shooting, which sped off from the venue until it was stopped by Denver Police after it made its way to the city. Q was initially detained while authorities investigated, but was not arrested; the three men who were shot suffered non-life-threatening injures, and one was released from the hospital. ScHoolboy was not injured in the incident, and has reportedly been cooperating with the investigation; the spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Department was unsure if the shooting was gang-related.

In a press release sent out last night, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department shed some light on the suspect, who had apparently used a rifle in the shooting and fled on foot.
