While many rejoiced at Nicki Minaj's toned down look, one person, her former wig designer Terrence Davidson, might not be on board. Davidson sued Nicki in February for $30M saying his designs were a key to her success. He also claims in the suit that the Queens rapper stole his designs and convinced him not to do a reality show that he believes would have been lucrative.

Now Nicki is answering back. In her reply to the lawsuit she explains that Davidson is tight because "his self-described talents are insufficient to garner the same types of business opportunities he may have received when serving as Mrs. Maraj's hairstylist." Nicki and her lawyers want the judge to toss the suit out.

This is just one part of a busy week for the rapper/actress. While backstage at the Powerhouse concert in LA, she revealed that she's following up the Soulja Boy produced "Yass Bish" with a new single "Pills & Potions" on Wednesday. Nicki shared the artwork on her Instagram.

For her the new album represents a return to her core.

“I had to start from scratch, almost reintroduce myself, again,” she stated. “I know people know me. I wanted to remind them where I came from.”
