Nicki Minaj Dropping New Single Wednesday, Says She Is Reintroducing Herself On ‘The Pinkprint’
Before hitting the stage to close out Power 106's Powerhouse concert, last night, Nicki Minaj revealed some news about her upcoming LP, The Pinkprint. During a pre-show interview with Power's Rikki Martinez, Minaj was speaking on her focus for the anticipated project when she announced a new single from the album will hit the Internet on Wednesday. "I'm very excited. I turned down a lot of features this year just because I wanted to focus on that feel first," said Minaj. "Actually we are going to drop a single on Wednesday for The Pinkprint so I'm very excited." Nicki said fans will be pleased to hear her getting back to her rap roots on the LP. "I had to start from scratch, almost reintroduce myself, again," she stated. "I know people know me. I wanted to remind them where I came from."
She later chopped it up with Rap-Up and offered more details about the aforementioned single. "It feels very uplifting. And, it feels very soulful," Nicki revealed. "It's a great indicator of what The Pinkprint will feel like in terms of the storyline of that song."
