Earlier today, Three 6 Mafia founding member Ricky “Lord Infamous” Dunigan reportedly passed away. DJ Paul exclusively confirms with HipHopDX that he died Friday night from a heart attack at his mother’s house in Memphis, Tenn. He was 40.

"He had a heart attack in his sleep. His mother found him dead this morning. He had been dead, the doctors say, for about five hours. And she came home, he was sitting at the kitchen table with his head down on his arms. He had told his girlfriend that he was sleeping and he wanted to go to sleep. His girlfriend left and was like, 'You going to be fine?' And he was like, 'Yeah, I'm going to be good.' And she was like, 'You sure?' and he was like, 'Yeah, yeah, I'm positive, I just want to get some sleep.' So he laid his head in his arms at the kitchen table and he went to sleep and then when his momma came home, he was sitting at the kitchen table passed away."

Lord Infamous appeared in the early stages of Three 6 Mafia, becoming a pivotal figure in their debut album Mystic Stylez in 1995. This year, Lord Infamous and the remaining members of Three 6 Mafia formed an offshoot called Da Mafia 6ix and released the 6ix Commandments mixtape. Below is their latest video for "Go Hard" featuring Yelawolf.
