Too Short will not face felony drug possession charges in his recent arrest.

The Los Angeles District Attorney has rejected the felony drug case on the basis that authorities only discovered a small amount of drugs and Short’s lack of a felony record, according to a report by TMZ. Cops allege they found a small amount of meth in the back seat of the squad car after Short’s arrest, but the rapper claims the drugs must have been left by a prior occupant.

As previously reported, the OG Oakland rapper was arrested on Wednesday (Mar 20) for DUI. Short then attempted to flee captivity by unsuccessfully making a break for it. He was tackled by officers after only making it a several yards. Short is still not out of the woods yet. A City Attorney is scheduled to look at the case sometime next week for a misdemeanor review.
