This spring, Puma and MCM will join forces for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Puma Suede. Resulting in a special apparel and footwear collection, the luxury collab offers a modern take on signature track pieces from the German sportswear brand.

The Puma x MCM pays tribute to the founding days of hip-hop. Made in Italy, the 50th anniversary Puma Suede reinvents the codes of the classic shoe with a focus on texture and detail. Featuring a constructed elegant, durable Visetos canvas with breathability and comfort, the shoe also includes jewelry-polished brass plates with the MCM logo and a unique registration number—a nod to the exclusivity of MCM’s famous handbags.

Releasing in three colorways—classic cognac, white, and red-blue multicolor—each pair includes coordinated laces in two styles—leather with contrasting edge-stain and fabric with metal tips. The packaging will also have a luxurious touch as the shoes are housed in a textured canvas shoebox stamped with all-around MCM logos and foil details. Custom tissue paper will feature the signature pattern of the suede sneaker's outsole.

The apparel will also pay homage to hip-hop culture. The classic Puma T7 track jacket and pants will feature signature 7cm taping on the sides, re-imagined with swag and sophistication. The T7 ensemble has a slouchy fit that cuts a classic urban silhouette with textured nylon panels, embroidered in the Visetos pattern. The back of the T7 jacket features a varsity-style patch that displays the MCM logo. Both pieces will be offered in classic cognac and red-blue multicolor.

The Puma x MCM limited-edition collection will be available on Thurs., May 24, at MCM and Puma shops and select Puma retailers worldwide. The Puma Suede sneakers will retail for a suggested price of $340 while the track top will retail for a suggested price of $300 and the track pants for $250. The MCM will exclusively drop the red-blue multicolor colorway in stores and online.
