August Alsina is officially back, debuting his new single from his forthcoming sophomore album. "Hip-Hop" is produced by Knucklehead & Korner Keyz and finds the XXL Freshman crooning about better days. "Only four years old when Biggie gets shot," sang August over an uptempo beat. Don't label him a R&B artist. Alsina has always been adamant about being tagged as an R&B singer and shows why on this new record. He switches back from singing and rapping.

Things have been quiet for the NOLA native ever since his incident after tragically collapsing off stage during an NYC performance on his Testimony Live Tour last September. He fell into a coma for three days. After his release from the hospital, he flew back home. The last appearance from the singer was when Usher brought him out in the Staples Center in L.A. last November. Watch the lyric video for the song above. August Alsina sat down for a chat with us to talk about the health scare, touring with Usher and what’s ahead for him.
