Tragedy struck as the Testimony Live Tour hit New York City Monday evening. Headliner and 2014 XXL Freshman August Alsina collapsed during a performance of his single "Numb." (Watch video footage here) Fans waited in line for hours to hear the New Orleans native, but he only made it halfway through his set before falling off the stage and having to be carried out by venue security and being carted off into an ambulance from the back entrance of the plaza. Fans waited outside anxiously after the show came to an abrupt end to hear an update on his condition. Alsina had been traveling cross country with the tour and had complained of exhaustion earlier in the tour.

The collapse overshadowed a star-studded set by Teyana Taylor earlier in the evening. 106 & Park host Shad Moss was among those in attendance to see the Harlem native, Taylor, perform for a sold out venue in her hometown. The “First Lady of G.O.O.D. Music” did not disappoint as she brought out Mack Wilds, who received a strip tease from Taylor; and Sebastian Mikael who performed "Last Night." Taylor went on to organize a twerking contest with audience members, winners of the contest were serenaded by Wilds.
