Kendrick Lamar lands his first No. 1 record on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The To Pimp a Butterfly rapper worked with pop sensation Taylor Swift on a new cut of "Bad Bloods," the fourth single off her sophomore LP, 1989. Thanks to their collaboration, K.Dot finds himself at the top of the Hot 100 chart for the first time in his young career. Back in November, the Swift-only version of the track only peeked to No. 80 on the chart. The track only spent an additional week on the chart before falling off. The rework version with Kendrick first appeared at No. 53 last week and jumped to No. 1 (dated June 6). The video for the track premiered at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. “Bad Blood” also broke Vevo’s single-day streaming record, racking up some 20.1 million views in its first 24 hours. The previous record holder was Nicki Minaj, whose “Anaconda” hit 19.6 million on its first day last year.

Prior to this No. 1 win, Kendrick came in the Top 10 with A$AP Rocky's "F--kin Problems," alongside Drake and 2 Chainz. The song peaked at No. 8 back in 2013. The Compton native's highest-charting song as a lead artist is "Swimming Pools (Drank)" off his 2012 album good kid, m.A.A.d cityThe track was his first entry to the Hot 100 list and peaked at No. 17.

This past weekend, Kendrick Lamar performed at the Sasquatch! Festival. It was his first performance since he dropped T.P.A.B. K. Dot gave fans a 80-minute set, which oddly included only a single track from his latest project. According to a thread on Reddit, Kendrick only played "Alright," the seventh track on the record.

In other news, Kendrick recently arrived at LAX, where he ran into TMZ's camera man. The encounter was rather different. Kendrick and his crew flipped the script, whipping our their phones to ask questions and record the paparazzi themselves. ScHoolboy Q even made an appearance. Watch the run-in below.
