After learning that his pockets will be $1 million lighter due to a court ruling over a bounty for his stolen laptop, Ryan Leslie isn’t taking the news so well. But can you blame him? Last night, the singer/rapper performed at Long Island University’s homecoming concert and used some of his time on stage to vent about the situation and judicial process.

“Yesterday, and the reason why I’m on the front page of the news today, everyone thought I was just a cheapskate or something like that – a jury of my peers, 8 people, they looked me in my face and told me I had to pay this man $1 million for music I never got back,” he told the crowd.

Leslie later got choked up when explaining all he had to go through to re-create the music he lost and eventually put flames to the New York Post that he was featured on.
