NBA player Russell Westbrook unveiled his first signature Jordan Brand performance shoe, the Why Not Zer0.1, during last night's Thunder-Lakers game. The long-awaited shoe from the current NBA MVP pays homage to Russell's on-court game as well as his personal fashion style.

The shoe, crafted for the dynamic game and personality of Westbrook, features a fused mesh upper, a smooth vamp cover, full-length Zoom Air unit and compression-molded pylon foam piece engineered for flight. Debuting last night the PE version of the “Mirror Image” colorway, Westbrook's shoe displayed his desire to tell personal stories through colorways. Each shoe uses cut out images to represent legendary basketball players Michael Jordan and Russell Westbrook.

Russell's “Mirror Image” iteration, displayed last night, will remain as a player exclusive for the OKC player. On Mon., Jan. 15, a similar Jordan Brand Why Not Zer0.1 “Mirror Image” colorway will release in limited quantities. A “2-Way” colorway of the shoe will also release on Thurs., Feb. 15.

In related Jordan Brand news, the Jumpman recently announced the forthcoming release of the Air Jordan 1 Retro Take Flight silhouette. Releasing in the days to come, this marks the first time Jordan brand launches this Retro colorway.
