In mid-August, Jordan Brand introduced sneakerheads to a new iteration of the Air Jordan 1 Retro with the unveiling of the classic silhouette in a flyknit upper. After launching the Bred version of the Air Jordan 1 a few weeks back, today, the Jumpman announces the upcoming colorway of the Flyknit sneaker with the forthcoming release of the Royal Blue edition.

Set to release in the days to come, this Flyknit Air Jordan 1 will be dressed in a royal blue and black upper. Replacing the signature leather on the upper of the kicks, Nike adds a knitted material to the entire canvas of the shoes to provide users with maximum flexibility and ventilation. Decked out with Jordan Brand's old school wing logo and Nike Swoosh branding on the side panels, the shoes also feature a graphic reading “19852017” on the inner collar of the kicks. With a Zoom Air unit on the heel, the sneakers are rounded out by a white midsole that sits atop of a royal blue bottom.

The all-new Royal Blue version of the Air Jordan 1 Retro Hi Flyknit is scheduled to release on Sat., Oct. 7, at select Jordan Brand and Nike retailers. Check back with XXL for pricing info on these shoes and further Air Jordan Flyknit releases.
