The Regulator started his career in 1990 by linking up with childhood friends Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg, in which they formed their group “213”, which they named after their Long Beach area code. The group split after Nate Dogg and Snoop Dogg signed deals with Death Row Records. Warren G had the option too, but he decided to work on his solo career. Big Pun is best known for his amazing lyrical feat, and being the first solo Latin rapper to achieve platinum status with <em>Capital Punishment</em>. Accompanied by fellow Bronx native Fat Joe, Pun was on his way to superstardom. Sadly, his struggles with his weight led to his untimely demise, as the MC would die of a heart attack at the tender age of 29. Until this day, the Big Punisher is heralded as one of the greatest lyricists of all time.
