The world has been waiting on the G.O.O.D. Music compilation Cruel Summer for months now. With a tentative release date for next month, artists from Kanye's collective are speaking on the project—though never with the ability to disclose much new information, it seems, not for lack of trying, but for lack of actually having any.

Over the weekend, Common gave his version of an update on the project.

"I gotta say that a lot of the album, for me, I'm learning as we learn," the Chicago rapper told Fuse while at Rock The Bells over the weekend. "Meaning, I came and contributed to the album and just am happy to be a part of Cruel Summer. I'm G.O.O.D. Music all day and night. Kanye is at the center of the album. He's the nucleus. We just come as artists and give what we can give and then allow the artistry to come out from there. I'll say this: whenever the album comes out, it's gonna be special. It's gonna have very great artists on it, ranging from Big Sean to 2 Chainz to Common to Kanye to Pusha T to Kid Cudi to John Legend to CyHi to other special guests."
