Floyd Mayweather Describes Typical Post-Victory Celebration With 50 Cent

They’re named the Money Team for a reason. 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather unabashedly speak about their love for making money on HBO’s reality series, 24/7, often.

But if the undefeated Mayweather is victorious in his fight against Miguel Cotto on Saturday night (May 5) in Las Vegas, he and ’Fif probably won’t be hitting Sin City for a night out on the town.

Mayweather, 35, recently told XXLMag.com that his post-victory celebrations with 50 haven’t really been about spending money; more about discussing how to make more of it.

“What we do after a victory is we go to my house and we sit down and eat a meal and we don’t even talk about the fight,” Mayweather told XXLMag.com during a recent conference call. “‘What’s the next concert we can do? Let’s talk about some real estate business, movies that we can get involved with. We move onto the next venture and next thing we can get involved with and take it to the next level.”

That next level could very well find 50 teaming up with his friend to create their very own boxing promotion company, as Mayweather previously revealed to XXL.

“As far as boxing I think he is going to be involved with the promotion side, we might even have him fight on pay per view one time,” Mayweather added. “We don’t know what the future holds but he is getting involved with boxing.

“We would bring a lot as far as a new fan base. He would bring a lot to the table,” he continued. “We believe there’s enough to go around, he’s not just my friend, he’s not just my best friend, he’s one of my business partners and one of the smartest guys I know.”

Before any such plans can come to fruition, though, Mayweather will have to report to jail for an 87-day sentence due to misdemeanor domestic violence and harassment charges in a plea bargain deal.
