After collaborating with many artists for their projects, Big Sean has G.O.O.D. karma coming his way. Eminem wants to meet him.

Fellow Detroit MC, Royce da 5’9”, recently told Sean that the rap superstar has requested to meet him.

“I came up listening to Eminem,” Sean shared at the BET Awards ’12 Nominations Press Conference on Tuesday (May 22), just before boarding a flight to catch Kanye West’s short film, Cruel Summer, in France. “Just how inventive Eminem was, his rhyme style, and Royce at the same time, so for them to be my peers, my homies – I haven’t actually met Eminem, but Royce told me Eminem wants to meet me. So, that’s just an honor all in itself. You know what I’m saying? So, I cheer them. I support them 100 percent. Anybody hating on them, anybody talking smack, that’s fam.”

Sean and Royce Da 5’9 visited Eminem’s alma mater Lincoln High School in Warren, Michigan last Monday (May 14). Sean played principal for a day as part of the Get Schooled Detroit Challenge, a program sponsored by General Motors, United Way and Viacom that aims to keep Detroit kids in school.

Whether a possible collaboration can result by the potential meeting with Sean and Em remains to be seen. However, after Tuesday’s press conference, Big Sean did confirm that he has worked with Harlem’s A$AP Rocky, who was also present at the BET affair.

Sean, like A$AP, also confirmed that he’s looking at September for his new, album to be released, although he still hasn’t ironed out a title for the LP.

On Tuesday, Sean bagged three big BET Awards nominations, including Best New Artist, Best Male Hip-Hop Artist and Best Collaboration for “Marvin & Chardonnay.”—Christopher Minaya
