Rick Ross Performs Slew of Shows During NBA All-Star Weekend

NBA All-Star weekend ended just as expected: with a slew of parties and an endless numbers of stars from the entertainment and sporting worlds engaging in the revelry. And, despite his recent health issues, Rick Ross wasn’t too far behind.

In fact, Rozay proved to be one of the busiest performers during the three-day affair. On Friday he took the stage at Roxy, rifling off a gaggle of records from his Rich Forever mixtape as well as some album catalog staples. Early Saturday he left Orlando via private jet with Meek Mill and others to hit a ski party in upstate New York and by that same evening he was back in O-Town hosting a Hennessy-sponsored party at the Sheltair Executive Airport Hanger.

Then on Sunday night, music industry execeutive John Monopoly brought Ricky Rozay and 2 Chainz to club Beachum, which is minutes away from the Amway Center where the All-Star game was held. With a packed house and a stage brimming with people (including Cee-Lo Green), Ross wasted no time, walking right onstage and immediately kicking off with Rich Forever’s “Holy Ghost.”

“Don’t let the devil iiiiiiiiiin!” The crowd yelled along with Rozay, who was flanked by CCC’s Torch, Gunplay and Young Breed. Later, as DJ Sam Sneaker spinned, the Maybach Music Group’s leader unleashed his verse from his and Meek Mill’s “I’mma Boss.”

Rozay also called for his friend French Montana to come to the front for “Shot Caller.” Back-to-back homeruns of Rich Forever and B.M.F. (Blowing Money Fast) followed.

The night’s other co-star, 2 Chainz got on the mic as well for “Fuck Em” and the over-the-top hit “Spend It.”

Before exiting, Rozay alley ooped the proceedings to his MMG family as Torch, Gunplay and Breed did “Slow Down” and newcomer Scotty Boi performed “Lawyer Fees.” —Shaheem Reid @shaheemreid
