Yasiin Bey, AKA Mos Def will be performing with the Brooklyn Philharmonic in front of a hometown crowd tomorrow afternoon (October 8) in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The acclaimed rapper/actor  will rock with composer, Alan Pierson and the Brooklyn Phil Chamber Players to recreate some of his songs, including a new track called “Bed-Stuy Forever.”

The free 30-minute show will begin on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Restoration Plaza on 1368 Fulton Street.

As previously reported, Mos and his Black Star partner-in-rhyme Talib Kweli recently had to cancel a string of tour dates, but luckily for fans the duo appeared on The Colbert Report earlier this week, where they premiered a new song, “Fix Up.” [Watch here] —Elan Mancini
