It’s a Cole world. On Sunday night (July 31) J. Cole took to his site to announce plans to release new material every Sunday until the release of his debut album, Cole World: The Sideline Story, on September 27.

“Every Sunday til the album drops I’ll be back with something,” he wrote. “Maybe just 1 song, maybe a video, depending on how I’m feeling. September 27! We almost there. Until then (sic).”

The North Carolina rapper released the first installment of the Sunday freebies yesterday with an EP, appropriately titled Any Given Sunday #1, featuring five songs.

The EP starts off with “Like A Star,” a song the 2010 XXL Freshman claimed he was saving for the second album. “Due to some other shit beyond my control, I’ma let this out now,” he wrote about the track on his site. The new song is followed by a previously released track, “Knock on Wood." Rappers Omen and Voli hop on the Voli-produced track titled “Pity." He then follows the collab with “How High,” which was “guaranteed to go on The Sideline Story” at one point, he said. “Unabomber” wraps up the project.
