Remy Ma will not get out of jail early after a judge upheld the ruling on her sentence yesterday (February 24).

According to New York's Fox 5 News, a judge has ruled that the rapper will serve the remainder of her prison bid, following a 2007 shooting incident.

Remy Ma's attorney had appealed the ruling on the ground that a judge failed to properly brief jurors before they issued the guilty verdict. The court of appeals rejected the argument.

Remy Ma was sentenced to eight years behind bars in May 2008 for criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of assault stemming from a 2007 incident in which a friend was shot. The Terror Squad first lady had accused her friend of stealing $3,000 from her purse.—Henry Adaso
