Having already collaborated with Lil Wayne, Drake, Jay-Z and Kanye West, Nicki Minaj recently revealed that she’ll be sharing a track with another of the game’s most revered MCs.

In a sit-down with MTV, rap’s leading lady spoke on the song “Roman’s Revenge,” which features Eminem. The lyricists channel their alter egos—Roman Zolansky and Martha for Nicki, and Slim Shady for Em—as they lace the Swizz Beatz-produced cut.

“I had that beat for—it had to be, like, four months," she told Sway. "I didn’t wanna write to it. It was crazy. I knew I had to go in if I was gonna tackle the beat,” said the New York native of the track, also admitting it was the song she had most fun recording for the album, and that Slim turned out to be the craziest character on wax.

Nicki had already sent Eminem a song for a possible feature before “Roman’s Revenge,” but he was looking for something different than the initial track she pitched. “I was kind of scared, because you also don’t wanna be vulnerable and send two songs that someone’s gonna turn down,” said the Young Money spitter of reaching out a second time. “And when I sent it, that’s when he picked up the phone.”

“Even right now I’m in shock. I just don’t believe that he gave me that much time.”
