Nas & Damian Marley Lead Rap Acts on the Charts

Nas and Damian Marley beat out B.o.B. to lead the rap pack on this week’s Billboard 200 sales chart.

Although the duo fell five spots in their second go-round, God’s Son and Bob’s son still managed to land at the No. 10 position. Distant Relatives was purchased 25,200 times this week, making its total figures equal 82,700 after two weeks.

B.o.B picked up the No. 16 position in his fifth week. The Adventures of Bobby Ray added 19,700 to its overall tally, which now sits at 190,200.

Six slots down is the Black Eyed Peas’s 2009 album The E.N.D., Fergie and company are still pumping out CDs almost a year later—this in their 51st week. With 16,600 units sold in just the last seven days, the group’s complete stats now stand at 2,551,600.

Rounding out the Top 40 is Ludacris’s latest LP, Battle of the Sexes. To-date, the disc moved 429,100 copies, after fans bagged up 11,700 CDs this week.

Check back next week to see where Yukmouth’s new album, Free at Last, lands on the The Billboard 200. —Elan Mancini
