Bun B, Curren$y & Rhymefest Unite for Free Closed Sessions EP

Closed Sessions: Vol. 1, a digital-only EP, featuring the likes of Bun B, Curren$y and Rhymefest, among others, is set to hit the ‘Net for free this March.

The nine-song project, which also includes cameos from Donnis, Kidz in the Hall, Skyzoo, U-N-I, Amanda Diva, Tanya Morgan, GLC and Big Pooh, was recorded entirely in Chicago’s SoundScape Studios. Each rapper’s experience working on the disc was videotaped, and the clips will be released individually on rubyhornet.com along with the track.

“I think rubyhornet.com has begun something great with their Closed Session series,” Pooh said in a statement. “A lot of fans want a closer look at their favorite artist and this is a way to let them in on the writing and creative process of creating music. Even the casual listen may gain a greater respect for the process as well as the artist after viewing an episode of Closed Session.”

Closed Sessions: Vol. 1 will be released in March, while Vol. 2 will be recorded in Austin, TX at this year’s South by Southwest Musical Festival. —Brooklyne Gipson
