Amalgam Digital Partners with E1 Music

Indie powerhouse E1 Music— formerly known as Koch—will release new albums by former rivals Joe Budden and Saigon— as part of a new deal with online imprint Amalgam Digital reports billboard.com.

Saigon’s Warning Shots 2, a sequel to last year’s Amalgam release, will be the first disc under the new partnership. Set for a September 29 drop date, the album will then be followed up with a new solo studio set by Budden in October.

Budden already has a relationship with E1. The label just released his group Slaughterhouse’s debut last week. Budden’s first release on Amalgam, Padded Room, came out earlier this year. –Elan Mancini

This partnership should beneficial for both labels as well as the artists. Funny that Buddens and Saigon both on the same label…

Maybe we will finally get a Crooked I release

  • Mutada/Mullah Atari

E1 and the other may be the future, them seem to know how to turn a profit in this climate.
Even Brian Mcknight signed with E1

I actually like E1 (Koch), and as Mutada said they seem to know how to turn a profit. At least they aint puttin Saigon on the shelf, just that is pretty sweet.

  • Giddy

Amalgam Digital is definately the future of where things are at. Artists are getting paid from Amalgam Digital and they make good music. Slaughterhouse is E1′s best record and that was a result of Halfwayhouse. Its good to see them work together
