With new releases by Southern acts UGK and Flo Rida hitting the shelves last Tuesday (March 31), music industry resource HitsDailyDouble.com has posted their projections on each album’s first week sales.

According to the site, UGK 4 Life is on track to sell between 65,000 to 75,000 come Wedneday’s Nielsen SoundScan report. Featuring cameos from Snoop Dogg, 8Ball and MJG, Lil Boosie, Webbie, E-40, Too $hort, Akon and Ron Isley, among others, the CD will be both the group’s last effort as well as its first release since the passing of co-founding member Pimp C.

Flo Rida’s sophomore effort R.O.O.T.S. (Route Of Overcoming The Struggle), is pegged to rack up around 40,000 to 50,000 in sales. The Atlantic rapper has broken records with his first single from the project “Right Round,” which was downloaded 636,000 times in one week. The song surpassed the sales numbers for “Low” - his record breaking hit with T-Pain from last year, which moved 467,000 units.
