In support of Minister Louis Farrakhan, West Coast legend Snoop Dogg and “King of the South” T.I. made appearances at his Nation of Islam’s annual Saviors Day convention on Sunday (March 1).

Snoop traveled to Rosemont, Illinois for the event, where he delivered a brief speech honoring the movement’s leader. The rap veteran, who also gave a $1,000 donation, said he’ll always seek out the minister. Snoop then took a seat onstage as Farrakhan addressed his followers.

Unable to attend the convention, T.I., recorded a video message expressing the importance of education.

Farrakhan has a long standing history with the hip-hop community, most notably for his role in mediating rap beefs. Credited for ending the feud between Common and Ice Cube in the mid 90s, the minister also sat down with Ja Rule in 2003 to speak about the Queens rapper's feud with 50 Cent for a TV special. – Elan Mancini
