A jury today (March 27) found Remy Ma guilty on four charges related to the July 14 shooting of Makeda Barnes-Joseph. The rapper stood accused of shooting the woman in the abdomen during a heated argument over $3000 that disappeared from Remy's purse. According to TMZ.com, the Bronx born MC has been convicted of two counts of first-degree assault, attempted coercion, and criminal possession of a weapon. She was initially charged with attempted murder but that count was later reduced to assault after investigators determined that the .45 caliber pistol that shot Jospeh fired accidentally. She was later hit with additional witness tampering and gang assault charges after she allegedly had a group of men assault a potential witness. The former member of Fat Joe’s Terror Squad crew now faces up to 25 years in prison when she is sentenced.
