Snoop Dogg was issued a desk appearance ticket on Wednesday night (February 20) for smoking marijuana in front of an unidentified Manhattan club. According to the New York Post, the rapper’s attorney, Donald Etra, informed the newspaper of the incident. Etra would not identify which club his client was allegedly smoking in front of, and believes the summons was issued in error. "He did not get arrested. He received a ticket for possession of marijuana," Etra told the Post. "We are contesting the ticket." Snoop’s last marijuana related run-in with the law was in Sweden in March of 2007. He and a female companion were held overnight by Stockholm police, who said they appeared to be under the influence of narcotics.
