T.I. Recording New Album While Under House Arrest

T.I., who is currently under indefinite house arrest while he awaits his trial on federal weapons charges, is keeping himself busy by working on his next LP. According to Entertainment Weekly, Tip is six tracks deep into the new project, which will be called Paper Trail. The new album’s title is a reference to the fact that the Bankhead native is writing his lyrics down, something he reportedly hasn’t done since his first official LP, 2001’s I’m Serious. “He wanted to take more time to really put something down [this time],” his rep explained to EW. Tip was released from federal custody on October 26 after posting $3 million bond. U.S. Magistrate Alan Baverman placed him under house arrest with heavy restrictions. The rapper must wear a GPS tracking device to monitor his movements, and any visitors to his residence must undergo a criminal background check.

    I don’t know what’s wrong with all of you, but Jay-Z and all them other guys somebody mentioned don’t freestyle on the album. Nobody is that good. He memorizes the lyrics in his head, and he can do his verses in ONE TAKE. If they freestyled the on the album, it would have to be in one take, cause you can’t edit freestyles, or do them over, it just wouldnt be a freestyle now would it? You people are really dumb if you think people are freestylin their albums. Not mixtapes, but on the real albums. Nobody freestyles anymore anyway. A select few, that’s it. YOUR ALL IDIOTS.

    Let me school you guys in on something. As far as talent, T.I. is one of the best rappers not just in the south, but period in the current state of Hip-Hop. If you listen to his first record all the way through “T.I. vs. T.I.P.”, you can see the growth and lyrical strength that he’s developed through the years. Now the fact that he freestyles his albums are questionable, but you cannot deny his lyrical ability. So before all of you haters disrespect someone’s craft, grasp understanding of their history.
