The Roots have signed on to curate and headline the first night of the POPPED! Music Festival on the campus of Drexel University in their hometown of Philadelphia next June. The group will also be performing their Grammy Award winning album Things Fall Apart in its entirety. The goal of the festival is to provide an independently produced, environmentally friendly music experience featuring local and national artists. The three day outdoor event will feature a solar powered stage, recycled paper and bottled products and local food and vendors. Over 10,000 attendees are expected each day, and over 40 different acts are scheduled to perform. The POPPED! Music Festival will run from June 20-22, 2008.
