Jay-Z will embark on a small, five city tour this November in support of his upcoming LP, American Gangster. The Def Jam president will engage audiences with an intimate performance of tracks from the new project at a string of smaller sized venues across the country. The album, which is inspired by the upcoming Denzel Washington film of the same name, is due in stores November 6. In addition to his five scheduled appearances, XXLMag.com has learned that Jay will also be swinging through the cities of Atlanta and Washington D.C. to “reach out and touch the people.” More information on these extra appearances will be available shortly.

The five scheduled dates are as follows:

11/6 Los Angeles - The House of Blues
11/7 Chicago - The House of Blues
11/9 Baltimore - Ramshead Live
11/11 New York - The Hammerstein Ballroom
11/12 Philadelphia - The Fillmore
