Two pioneering hip-hop acts have signed on for the inaugural run of the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors Tour, which kicks off on September 13 in San Francisco. On Tuesday (July 10) VH1 announced that Big Daddy Kane and MC Lyte, who have both been honored on the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors television special, have signed on as co-headliners. Philly group The Roots will also be headlining, and will produce and act as the musical directors for the entire tour. The final show, which will take place on October 13 at the Nokia Theater in New York City, will coincide with the kick-off of the official Hip-Hop Honors Weekend. On Wednesday July 11, VH1 will be holding an exclusive ticket pre-sale. For more information, visit tours.vh1.com.
