jay-vfair.jpgJay-Z will appear on the July cover of Vanity Fair’s Africa issue, which is guest edited by U2 singer Bono. Jay is one of the 20 separate covers Vanity Fair is releasing to increase awareness of the social and political problems plaguing the continent. Jay was chosen to appear on one of the covers due in large part to his charitable work in Africa, helping the continent’s water crisis in an MTV documentary, The Diary of Jay-Z: Water for Life. In addition, for each online subscription sold during the month of June, Vanity Fair will donate $5 to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS.
