the-roots.jpgThe Roots, Lupe Fiasco and Rhymefest, have signed on to perform at this year’s Lollapalooza music festival. The event will take place over three days from August 3-5 at Chicago’s Grant Park. First organized in 1991 by Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell, the event toured with the biggest names in alternative rock and hip-hop around the U.S. through 1997. It was revived in 2002 and eventually recast in 2005 not as a tour, but as a two-day festival in Chicago.
