The Roots, Lupe Fiasco and Rhymefest Sign on for Lollapalooza Festival
The Roots, Lupe Fiasco and Rhymefest, have signed on to perform at this year’s Lollapalooza music festival. The event will take place over three days from August 3-5 at Chicago’s Grant Park. First organized in 1991 by Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell, the event toured with the biggest names in alternative rock and hip-hop around the U.S. through 1997. It was revived in 2002 and eventually recast in 2005 not as a tour, but as a two-day festival in Chicago.
