LL Cool J in Talks to Remake Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
LL Cool J is reportedly in talks to appear in a Broadway revival of the Tennessee Williams play, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. The New York Post reports that the rapper/actor is being considered for the role of main character Brick Politt. The play tells the story of a complex family conflict that plays out over the course of a gathering to celebrate the birthday of Brick’s father, “Big Daddy” Pollitt. Stephen Byrd is set to produce while Debbie Allen is expected to direct. Phylicia Rashad and Louis Gossett Jr. are also said to be negotiating roles.
