Bay Area MC, Johnny Ca$h, Murdered

Bay Area MC, Johnny Ca$h, was murdered on Thursday, March 29 in Vallejo, CA. According to the Vallejo Times, Ca$h was shot in the head multiple times in the parking lot of the Sereno Village Apartment complex. Born Johnny Castaneda Jr., the 25-year-old rapper signed to the late great Mac Dre's record label, Thizz Entertainment, after Dre passed away in 2004. This affiliationwith Mac Dre has lead many to speculate Ca$h's murder is somehow connected to a string of violence that erupted after Dre's murder. But according to the San Francisco Chronicle, Vallejo police detective Raul Munoz does not believe that’s the case. "I don't have any evidence of that," Munoz said.
