Gunfire Interrupts Trina Show, Seven People Wounded
Gunfire erupted at a Florida strip club where rapper Trina was about to perform early Saturday (February 24) morning, leaving seven people wounded. According to the Miami Herald, a single shot was fired during a fight inside the Synn City club in Pompano Beach at around 1:00 a.m. just as Trina was arriving. When security guards attempted to remove the shooter from the establishment, several other people drew weapons and started shooting. "Just thank God I wasn't in the club. I never made it inside the club because I'd have hated to be there and something broke out and I'd have been in the midst of it," Trina told Dave Malkoff of local television station CBS 4. "I'm really [sad] because they were just there to have a good time and possibly to see me." Two security guards and five patrons were shot in the melee although none of the injuries was life threatening. Police have arrested a 17 year old suspect on charges of discharging a firearm in public, but are still investigating the incident.
