Common Set to Unveil New Hat Line in New York

Grammy Award winning rapper Common, long known for his distinctive headgear, is preparing for the launch of his own line of high end hats at La Coppola Storta in New York on Tuesday, January 23. All of the hats in the collection, which is called Soji (The Rebirth), are hand made in Italy. Emmy Award winning actor Jeremy Piven, of the hit HBO show Entourage, will join Common and guests at Soji’s launch. Piven and Common both appear in the new film Smokin’ Aces, which opens in theaters across the country on January 26. In related news, Common is also slated to appear alongside Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe and The RZA in the upcoming film American Gangster.
