snoop.jpgSnoop Dogg, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was arrested on suspicion of firearm and drug possession yesterday afternoon (October 26) at Burbank, CA's Bob Hope Airport. According to the Associated Press, Snoop's vehicle was stopped at a loading zone by airport police for an unspecified vehicle code violation. When officers searched the car, they uncovered a gun and marijuana. Snoop was arrested and later released on $35,000 bail. He is expected to appear in court on December 12 to answer to the charges. His attorney, Donald Etra, said in a statement, "There was no basis for this arrest. We believe that once this is cleared up, all charges will be dismissed." Snoop is also facing charges from an incident in September where he was found trying to board a plane with a 21-inch collapsible baton tucked into a laptop case he was carrying. The Orange County prosecutor's office has not yet decided whether or not charges will be filed against the rapper.
