three6.jpgAccording to the Associated Press, Academy Award winning Memphis, TN group Three 6 Mafia hopes to have a lawsuit filed by a disgruntled fan dismissed. According to reports, Ramone Williams alleges that he was thrown to floor, stomped on and hit with a chair when the group’s song “Let's Start A Riot” was played during a show on August 23rd, 2003 at a now-closed Pittsburgh nightclub. The group's attorney filed a motion last week in Allegheny County Court that says the song’s lyrics are protected by the First Amendment and that there is no "genuine issue of material fact." Williams had previously won a default judgment against the club, but when the venue closed, the owners would not answer the complaint.
