According to court documents obtained by website TMZ.com, Wu-Tang rapper/producer RZA is being sued by the United Talent Agency over unpaid commissions from his work on the Blade: Trinity soundtrack. RZA reportedly received $430,000 for his work on the film from May through September of 2004, but as of yet has not paid UTA the 10% fee, or $43,000, that the firm claims it is owed. The lawsuit, filed on Friday (Sept. 22), contends that the agency has attempted to collect the fee on several occasions but RZA has “denied that any commissions are due.” The plaintiffs are seeking the amount due plus interest at a rate of 10% per year.
