dmx.jpgDMX spent last Thursday night (June 29) in the Westchester County Jail after being arrested on a warrant issued by White Plains Judge Barbara Leak. The rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was allowed to post a $2,500 bond rather than the $25,000 cash bail originally set by Judge Leak, and was released Friday morning. According to a report from Westchester’s Journal News, the Yonkers native was not pleased when officers at the Valhalla, N.Y. correctional facility attempted to rouse him at 8:00 a.m. and get him on a bus to head to court. Deputy Correction Commissioner Joseph Miranda revealed, “He felt that he did not have to appear in court and became very agitated, mouthy and disrespectful,” and told the Journal News that the Emergency Service Unit was sent to his cell to remove him. A physical confrontation was avoided and the rapper eventually made it to court, where he was released after posting the bond. He has been ordered to appear once again on June 21 to answer to several traffic violations he received on June 2.
