Pras of the Fugees Goes Homeless for Documentary

pras.jpgPras, from the Grammy Award-winning group Fugees, has been living on $1 a day on the streets of L.A. for a new documentary about homelessness called First Night. “The dollar a day didn’t get me much at all,” Pras told the New York Daily News yesterday. “You have to hustle, steal, shoplift or prostitute yourself. I chose panhandling. People gave me the worst looks. Like I was invisible and at the same time the worst person on Earth,” he told the paper. The documentary is slated to be screened at the Toronto Film Festival.

    RESPECT FOR DOING THAT WHEN I LIVED IN LONDON I WAS ON THE STREETS ALLOT AND I HATED IT GOT ME REAL PARANOID (I DIDNT THOUGHT OF HEADPHONES THAT TIME)IT MUST BE EVEN WORSE WHEN U DONT EVEN HAVE A PLACE TO SLEEP AT.AND NOW I FEEL REALLY BAD BOUT THE BAD THINGS I SAID TO CAM I DIDNT MEAN THAT I WISH NOBODY SUCH A LIFE AMD ESPECIALLY NOT CAM.IM GOING TO ACT MATURE NOW BECAUSE I FEEL RESPONSIBLE FOR CAMS WELBEING.

    Some of these people prbably saw Pras on mtv “Cribs”and saw him show off his spot and his Bentley.So to see him asking for change would be crazy.He would have been better off shoplifting but I guess he did’t want to take that chance.Good to see he’s doin somethin besides trying solo albums because it ain’t workin for him.But alot of people don’t remember who he is anyway so he’s just being treated like the average homeless person.Ain’t nothin he said suprising to anybody about beig broke and homeless.

    This is very interesting. I never went without even when I lost my job. I always had family to go live with…. I prejudged these people calling them lazy but I’m sure they didn’t have anyone to stay with…. It’s sad to see the children on the street. I wonder what made Pras do this…..It’s an eye opener for all of us who take our money, clothes, food for granted

    Oh,I don’t take none of the shit I got for granted.I live in NY and been through 2 fires in less than 10 years.I said it before,this is the best place to be homeless.You have access to a lot of resources.Homeless with a family?God help you…
