The Meek Mill - Wale episode that unfolded on Twitter yesterday kept the two rappers on the forefront of the news cycle all day and paid big dividends for Wale. The D.C. rapper dropped his new song, "The Followers," yesterday afternoon and the song shot up Billboard's "Twitter Trending 140" chart. The chart tracks what songs and artists are being talked about on Twitter throughout the day and fluctuates throughout the day. Amidst the beef, Wale dropped the song a week early to "try and shift the attention back to the art," and "bring u [sic] closer to #nothing album."
